Modelling, Simulation and Testing of automotive perception sensors

Sim4CAMSens is a CCAV funded project working on methods to quantify and simulate camera, radar and lidar sensor performance under all conditions.

Claytex will take the stage at ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo

Claytex will exhibit and present at the ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo this June in Stuttgart, Germany.

ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo is Europe’s most influential hub for automotive innovation, research and development. Exhibitors will showcase the latest technologies to enable and accelerate end-to-end autonomous and ADAS applications, including testing tools, simulation, software, sensing and AI.

Presentation – Investigating the performance of perception sensors in winter conditions

Thursday 6th June16:10 – Room 2

Mike Dempsey, Managing Director of Claytex will present:

In many countries the ODD of an autonomous vehicle will have to include operation in a wide range of weather conditions. It is essential, therefore, that we understand how the performance of different perception sensors is affected by snow. Mike will present the work that has been undertaken to investigate and quantify the performance of perception sensors covering camera, radar, lidar and thermal imaging under these weather conditions. This work is part of the Sim4CAMSens project which is led by Claytex. The consortium has been awarded a £2 million grant to focus on perception sensor modelling, simulation and testing.
